Australian Heritage Homes is proud to present our latest featured home at 76 Columbia Blvd, Chirnside Park. This remarkable project exemplifies our commitment to bespoke home design and construction. The project involved extensive collaboration with the homeowners to create a unique and highly detailed residence that perfectly met their specific requirements.
Project Challenges
The land at 76 Columbia Blvd presented significant challenges due to its severe slope both to the rear and sideways. Addressing these topographical issues required innovative design solutions and meticulous planning over a 12-month period. The collaboration included numerous meetings and discussions between the owners, our design team, and our builder to ensure every aspect of the home met the owners' vision and functional needs.
Design and Construction Details
The final design is a stunning 37-square double-storey home, specifically crafted to maximise the potential of the sloped block. Key features and considerations in the construction included:
- Structural Retaining Walls: Significant retaining walls were built along both sides of the block to manage the slope and provide a stable foundation for the home.
- Open Alfresco Area: A beautiful open alfresco area was incorporated at the rear of the home, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding parkland.
- Feature Metal Staircase: The home boasts a custom feature metal staircase with unique treads, adding a striking architectural element.
- Interior Finishes: High-quality materials were used throughout the home, including feature timber flooring, floor tiling, and imported tiles lining the walls of wet areas.
- Luxurious Bathrooms: The ensuite features intricate tile work and a large shower recess with a tiled base.
- Custom Kitchen and Pantry: A large, custom-designed kitchen with a separate walk-through pantry caters to the homeowners' needs for both style and functionality.
