It has been a while since we have profiled a really amazing house and the team at Australian Heritage Homes thinks that we’re quite overdue. So much so, that we’ve decided to rebrand this series, but the mission remains the same. How on earth can we remain the best in the home design and construction business, if we’re not taking cues from homes around the world that are piquing our interest and inspiring our next projects? There are many things that you can expect from the AHH team, and one of them is that we’re passionate about what we do. We’re passionate about either enhancing your current home or building your first. It fills us with pride that you allow us to be a part of your life like that. So, be sure to check back in on our blog on a regular basis, because one thing that we’ll always want to share is what is guiding our inspiration and our work. Here is our “One Amazing House” this month:

One caveat… just because it’s expensive, doesn’t mean it’s amazing. That being said, we did think it would be entertaining and informative to share just how far the dollar can go these days. Enter the most expensive piece of real estate ever sold…

This isn’t chump change. We’re talking about $225 million. According to Independent News, that kind of money can allow you a California mansion, complete with 60 (SIXTY!) rooms, a pool house, a full-service cinema, multiple tennis courts and a storied history of guests that have frequented the property including Hollywood royalty and even multiple American presidents.

Sounds like a castle, doesn’t it? Well, it comes close, but can be found on the opposite side of the Globe. It’s a whopping 40,000 square foot property in Bel Air, Los Angeles and it now has a next-level claim to fame – the world’s most expensive residential property ever. The last time this record was set was One Hyde Park penthouse, located in London’s Knightsbridge, at a lowly 160 million British pounds.

This property is fondly referred to as Casa Encantada. Another big selling point is its ocean panoramas. The AHH team loves working with different customers who love beautiful views, especially because we live in an area with so many different variations to offer. The potential buyer can thank famed architect James E. Dolena for its beauty and the many features that it has to offer.

While this puts designing and buying a home in perspective, it’s important to note that there are pieces of homes like this that can be scaled in all sorts of different ways. Say that you love the Koi ponds at Casa Encantada, but your budget isn’t quite where Mr Dolena’s was when designing this property. That’s not a problem when you work with the teams like that of ours. We take a look at what you want to invest, where you want to live, what your vision is… and we bring them all to life.
