It takes a village to do anything that’s worth doing. We know that we may be biased, but as far as we’re concerned, a dream home is pretty high up there. Some save for them their entire lives, some have a perfect vision as to what they want them to look like. For others, it’s a spur of the moment decision, but they still need all of the right experts involved, so that the decision and next steps make sense. Well, count yourselves lucky, because as far as the right experts are involved – you’re looking right at the team at Australian Heritage Homes. While we were built on family values, we still have each of the key players that you would need to make any project a success. We have the compassion, the creativity and the experience. And, when it comes to all of the above, we knew that it made all of the sense in the world to set up this blog. If anything, we wanted you to share in the enthusiasm that we have for building your dream home. But, we also wanted to impart the wisdom that we’ve gained over the past few decades to you! There are some big questions that go into the home building and ownership process. Today, we thought we’d talk about the starting line-up of everyone that you would work with:
The Architect – This one should come as no surprise. They’re the one that you’re going to meet with and discuss your vision, and in a perfect world – ensure that they bring it to life. Your architect is going to be very design-driven… that’s simply the way that his or her brain will work. Your relationship with this key player will succeed best if you come to the table with a very specific vision of what you want your dream home to look like.
The Urban or Regional Planners – While this isn’t the most fun job in the world, it’s one of the most necessary. There is a lot of red tape when it comes to any construction projects, and this role navigates all of that. The Planner has all of the conversations with your regional councils, mitigates any issues and in a best case – makes sure that you don’t know anything about it. You really don’t have to have a ton of conversations with this role, unless they find major issues. Even then, companies like ours act as the liaisons.
Carpenters – We’re leaving you on a bit of a teaser here, because there are so many other roles that we’ll cover in our next post. But carpenters are the logical next step to share. You’ve designed, you’ve approved, it’s time to build! Again, this is a relationship that the AHH team would own, as would most home design and construction companies, but it’s also an exciting role, because you finally start to see the home come together! We welcome our customers to visit different job sites, only because we have full faith in each of our carpenters.
Like we said, more to come! Stay tuned for the other roles that ensure you truly feel at home when you walk into your house.
